An Overview

We are organized into ten ranks, comprising three circles. The guild leadership is comprised of a Sentinal (guild leader) and four officers. The motivation for the rank structure are the colors of the rainbow.

Bifrost - Organization

CircleRankTitleColorDescription
First Circle 0SentinalAny The Sentinal is the guild leader. The Sentinal makes guild policy and oversees the guild.
1RavenBlack There are only two ravens. The ravens are guild officers. One raven is the Oathgiver, responsible for all guild rituals, inducting members into the guild, and overseeing the third circle. The other raven is the Loremaster, responsible for maintaining the guild website and other guild information. The sentinal selects members to be ravens.
2WolfGrey There are only two wolves. The wolves are guild officers. One wolf is the Provisioner. The Provisioner oversees the guild treasury and disburses funds to conduct guild policy. The Provisioner also encourages the practice of tradeskills in the guild. The other wolf is the Warlord. The Warlord is responsible for planning and leading guild raids. The Sentinal selects members to be wolves.
3Violet GuardPurple The Violet Guard are the heroes of the guild. While not guild officers, they are able to participate in officer chat. (Normally, this is to allow communication on high-level raids.) The Sentinal selects members to join the Violet Guard.
Second Circle 4Indigo GuardIndigo The Indigo Guard has a maximum of 10 members. Only one member from each class is allowed in the Indigo Guard. The Indigo Guard leads the second circle. It selects outstanding members from the third circle to join the second circle and controls advancement within the second circle.
5Blue GuardBlue The Blue Guard consists of veteran members of the second circle. The Indigo Guard selects members for the Blue Guard.
6Green GuardGreen The Green Guard is the lowest rank of membership in the second circle. To be selected for the Green Guard, a member must have completed their level 11 trainer quest. Additional requirements may be set. The Indigo Guard selects members for the Green Guard.
Third Circle 7Yellow GuardYellow The Yellow Guard are the most experienced members of the third circle. The Oathgiver selects members for the Yellow Guard. Additionally, the Indigo Guard, as leaders of the second circle, closely watch members of the Yellow Guard for induction into the second circle. There can only be 10 members of the Yellow Guard, one for each class.
8Orange GuardOrange The Orange Guard are veteran members of the third circle. The Oathgiver selects members for the Orange Guard. The minimum requirement for entrance to the Orange Guard is the acceptance of a profession (level 5).
9Red GuardRed The Red Guard are the newest members of the guild. The Oathgiver selects members for the Red Guard, though any member may recommend an applicant. All new members in Bifrost are inducted into the Red Guard.

Advancement

Promotion within a circle may be done at any time by the circle's leadership. Promotion between circles may only be done at a Yul meeting. In each case, the Loremaster should be notified.

Cloaks

Each member should wear a colored cloak of a color appropriate to their guild rank. If such a color is financially unobtainable, they should instead wear the color of a lower rank within their circle. The choice of a hooded or non-hooded cloak is at the member's choice.  The wearing of an appropriate colored cloak should not interfere with larger financial goals of the member or of the Guild (i.e., the Guild Emblem).

Leaving Bifrost

If a member decides to voluntarily leave Bifrost, they are asked to travel to three urban areas (for example, Vasudheim, Jordheim and Mularn) and in each area shout (/broadcast) three times that they are no longer a member of Bifrost. This practices parallels the Norse method of divorce. Departing members are also asked to inform a guild officer of their departure.

If a member is removed from Bifrost, this action is not necessary.
